Dear Clients,
The long wait it so very nearly over, and we will meet again soon. However protecting yours and my own safety is a priority in this Covid time! As many of you know my background is Public Health nursing and outbreak management, and so with this in mind there will be some changes to Karma, till our national and local outbreak level threshold is reduced. All the measures below are being implemented to reduce the risk for both me and for you; and are done so on the advice from Public Health England and our regulating professional bodies, and all may be subject to change as things progress.
· 45 mins sessions will be the new regular norm! and only with you lying on your tummy (face down)! I’m afraid I will need to charge the regular 60min rate to cover all the extra cleaning, PPE and outlay costs to become Covid ready.
· Max session day 2 clients per day with one day in between. So for you this means my availability will be dramatically reduced!
· Client consultations will need to be undertaken on the phone, at least one day before your appointment. This will reduce face-to-face exposure for both of us!
· New Covid screening questionnaire to be completed.
· Your details may need to be shared with Public Health England’s ‘Track and Trace’ where there is an Covid case identified.
· A revised treatment list will be offered. No facials or facial massage or supine massage permitted (you lying on your back, facing up towards the ceiling). Indian Head Massage and Hopi Candling are permitted but we will need to adapt positions. Pregnancy massage too will require some adjustments!
· Payment, ideally BACS before your appointment, or credit card on the day. (Cash is accepted but this holds increased infection transmission risk)
· IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID SYSMPTOMS YOU MUST NOT ENTER KARMA! (this includes a temperature, new cough, new loss of smell/taste). Instead call me and rearrange please!
· YOU MUST CONTACT ME IF YOU DEVELOP COVID SYMPTOMS OR TEST POSITIVE WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF YOUR VISIT to Karma, so I can ready information for Track & Trace.
As yet, we’re still getting to grips with what PPE is required for us personally, and whether you need to bring your own masks, this is yet to be finalised. At a minimum it will be a Visor and a fresh work clothing change (for me) between each client.
Much of what we use in Karma will need to be disposable or fully wash-able. The room will be stripped back make cleaning easier.
You will be asked to wash your hands on entering Karma, and as you leave.
Currently no waiting area can be offered and ideally bring your own water with you.
And finally, please remember to bring very little into Karma with you. Leave any bags/shopping bags securely locked in the car! The more you bring in, the more the risk increases!
